- Larchmont, NY, USA

I received a text message claiming that USPS could not deliver my package because my shipping address did not match my zip code. The text linked to a website that looked identical to the USPS website, but was not actually the USPS website.

The website asked for various personal information in order to "confirm" a redelivery. Off the top of my head, the info included full name, telephone number, address, and zip code. After confirming this information, the website asked for your credit card information, because the redelivery supposedly costed $3.00.

I pressed the "next" button after the first set of personal information, so I'm concerned they were able to keep all of that. However, I realized it was a scam when I got to the credit card page.
