USPS Redelivery Fee Scam Reports & Reviews (2)

I got an email saying my usps delivery couldn’t be completed due to not having a valid address and I clicked the link and it wanted my name, phone number and address, and then it wanted my card information to charge a “$3 redelivery fee” which I know usps does not actually charge.

- Lexington, KY, USA

The scammer claimed that I needed to pay for a redelivery fee because the label on my package had been damaged. The website looked exactly like the real USPS website, except none of the links on the page worked (like the “Track Another Package” link). It took me one google search to realize that the real USPS doesn’t charge for redelivery. The text message didn’t even seem professional: “We are unable to deliver your item to your door due to the label being inadvertently damaged in transit. pls update. usplotmlter.info/Dewt” That link first took me to a page that asked me for my address, which I submitted. When the next step was to enter my card number, I realized something was wrong.
