- Rush, NY, USA

A woman's voice identifying itself as Emily began the call as if it was having trouble with its headset, then apologized. It said I had stayed at "one of their resorts" previously and had won a trip back. At this point, I had tried replying, then hung up when I realized it was a recording. I was surprised with this one--the woman who was recorded for this scam sounded believable at first. Because of how soon I hung up, I'm not sure if they were trying to get my credit card number or one of the more recent scam approaches of trying to get me to say "yes."

- Lewiston, NY, USA

Ladies voice asked if I could hear her. I said yes. She said she dropped her headset then went into a litany about me winning a free trip. I thought I was listening to someone live until a I said this is a scam right? The voice at the other end repeated itself. So I said NO and the phone went dead
