Yellow Pages Premium Reports & Reviews (10)

I get a call from Amber Williams about once every six months asking for a person who hasn't worked here in over 6 years... She always tells me that we owe over $500 - despite the fact that we have never used their services. Every time I bring this to her attention, she says she'll forward the account to customer service to find the "point of origin" and then I don't hear from them for another 6+ months.
She called again today - for what is at least the 4th time. I immediately let her know that we've spoken before and I'm not interested in their scam. She said she'll place us on a "do not call list".. I guess we'll see if that's the case..

The company Yellow Pages Premium called us originally at the beginning of the month with claims of an owed balance as well as a request to cancel the "services" stating that upon cancellation they would be going offline the first of May. I was transitioning into the management position at the time and since I was unfamiliar with the company I provide the office's contact information in order to receive the bill and more information. I was given a "confirmation number" by a woman named "Amber". We did not receive any further contact until recently, about a week ago they began calling the office again demanding payment. No bill had been received. I called back, informed the representative "Chloe" and was told we would receive an emailed invoice. Instead we received a paper bill today (5/4/21).

The bill itself has no specific information on it and a made up "account password" that is just the last four digits of our office phone number. The invoice doesn't even have a break down of the services that were cancelled, it just says this is an "Online Service Fee". They even list their own business information under the "Service Information" section instead of details for the work ordered. Not even a date for when the services were ordered/started.

Since researching more we have found that their address is the address for a "Virtual Offices" service called 90statestreet which allows business to have a "virtual" address instead of a physical one to have their mail, calls, and emails forwarded to.

I received a phone call from Yellow Pages Premium regarding a renewal of an online advertisement that was expiring 2/25/21. I was told that the annual fee is $569.99. (This is the same amount that others that have filed complaints stated they were told the fee would be). When I inquired as to what was included for this fee, I was told it included an advertisement on Google. I told them I needed to do more research and to call back. After researching, I did not find an advertisement for our company on Google nor did I find a website for the company name Yellow Pages Premium, only complaints regarding the company. When they called back, we told them that we are not interested, we were told that we owed for the previous year. We stated that most advertising is paid prior to the advertising being placed. They did not have our company address nor our company email address which is odd since they supposedly have been running an online ad for the company. Obviously address and email information would be included in an ad.

Getting consistent harassment phone calls, stating owe money for an add. That I never agreed to run. These scam artist need to be closed down as soon as possible.

- Sioux City, IA, USA

Received a call for invoice and almost sent payment . Called the business and then looked up online and found it was a scam

Our office was contacted via phone regarding advertisements services. We had previously received a mail out from Yellow Pages (United) regarding services as well. We had agreed to receive advertisement services from Yellow Pages (United) already. When we received a call from Yellow Pages (Premium), we were asked to authorize that a billing invoice be sent to our office for advertisement services. We authorized this as we had already agreed to receive services from Yellow Pages (United). Upon further investigation, Yellow Pages (Premium) is a totally different entity from Yellow Pages United although they presented themselves as the "Yellow Pages". Now they continue to call our office stating we owe them money for a service that we did not authorize with them. We did indeed authorize Yellow Pages United for services, but not Yellow Pages Premium. After signing up for Yellow Pages United, we were approached by both YP Connects and Yellow Pages Premium, both of whom presented themselves as the same entity as Yellow Pages United. We received a fax from Yellow Pages Premium stating that if we paid the invoice within a certain amount of time, they would reduce the fee from $569.99 to $498.00. We mailed them a check in the amount of $498.00 as we believed we were paying for the initial service from Yellow Pages United. We have left messages for a refund but have not heard back. Avoid all of them at all costs!!!! Do not authorize any services for any of these "entities". If you receive a call from them or mail, disconnect the call and shred the mail!

They call and say that your listing on their website is expiring for the year, even though you did not sign up to be on their site.

If you ask to cancel the listing, they say they are going to charge you for the year of service that you didn't sign up for.

If you say yes to the cancellation, they have your voice saying yes to the charge and they send the invoice. A legitimate business does not operate this way.

- Nantucket, MA, USA

This company identified itself as Yellow Pages asking if i wanted to renew our listing. I'm not the only one in the company so I asked if they could prove we'd actually singed up for a listing with them. Digging in a little they mentioned that it was in fact Yellow Pages Premium. They gave me the run around and said they'd send proof with the bill for the outstanding balance. They were asked for around $500 to pay for the prior year of advertising that is NOT legit. I asked them to cancel any account because i didn't think we signed up for anything and they offered to cancel it and apply their "current" discount to the $500 even though I was cancelling. When they started asking me for billing address I had figured out that they were phishing and would use the fact that i did not want to renew as acceptance of the 'prior year balance'. We did not solicit any advertising from them and I will not be paying a dime. Beware!

- Grand Island, NE, USA

I continue to get calls from a yellow pages company claiming I owe them for services rendered. Although, I have no account with this type of company. The representative (Ian?) that claims he is with collections has called several different occasions. Many times they have threatened to send us to collections and/or take legal actions. They are harassing us.

We have been receiving phone calls claiming we have an account with this company, for the past year and half. The company name changes as well as the amount they claim we owe. They are very adamant that we pay over the phone with a credit card or check. We have attempted to cancel, which is also a part of this scam. They go through a verification process on the phone and record it, they do not cancel (even though we didn't agree to a service in the first place) Next time they call they will play the recording from your "cancelation" and claim it is the approval for the services their attempting to charge you for. We have spoke to some very aggressive and rude salespeople bordering on harassment, they call us frequently, sometimes twice in the same day.
