They said I took a loan out in 2015 which I didn’t and they said the wrong social (last number was off) and they said I worked at a company that I didn’t (although I worked there prior to the date stated, I didn’t work there at the time he said I did) then he said I refused the deal and he had to document that, I told him ya I refused because I didn’t do that and how did they take a loan out with the wrong social? I had to call twice because the first time I got hung up on after I said the social was wrong

Scammer called (from Ohio number +1 (740) 301-2273) my daughter and left voicemail asking for her brother. I called number (866-675-1682) referenced in voicemail. Scammer (female) answered on the first ring and asked me if I was my nephew. I stated "No, I never heard of this person." ...she immediately hung up. I called right back and a male (named Mike) answered on the first ring. I stated: "I was told to call this number. What is this all about?" He also asked if I was my nephew. Again I replied no. He also immediately hung up.

Neither scammer asked for son.

The person called my brother and said they needed to speak to me regarding an outstanding payment. My brother gave me the number so I called. The person said I owed $1400 to a certain company from a number of years ago. Since I didn’t pay it, I needed to settle $700 with them. They had the last 4 of my social and asked me to confirm. After I confirmed my social, they hung up. I called back and they said it was a mistake.
