Antique Pickers Back Roads Tour Reports & Reviews (3)

I too sold items to Jeff Parsons for $125. Not only have I lost my items and had to pay $12 for returned check fee, but I don't have my $125. I don't see how this guy is still able to steal from people when he has gotten in trouble for this before. Based on what I heard from others not getting thier money, he obviously never intended to pay for any of the items he "purchased" stole. Legal advise has been given to me to file a report with the FBI since he is interstate as well as Maricopa County Attorney. I wish there was some way for all of us who went to Best Western Plus on Grand Ave. to get together. There is strength in numbers.

I received a 16 page newspaper type advertisement in early January from Antique Collectors Roadshow. They are a well known legitimate business that buys antiques, coins, gold and silver jewelry, guns, collectables, etc. (I still have the flyer). I have received this flyer in past years and this time called for an appointment as I had an unusual antique to sell. Best Western Plus in Surprise was the location to take the collectables to or a bonded and insured collector would make house calls. I had an antique wooden bidet that was in excellent condition along with authentic Navajo Turquoise and silver bracelets and several liquid silver and Turquoise necklaces and a diamond and gold ladies watch to sell. Made the appointment for January 14. For the above items, Jeffrey Parsons wrote a check to me for $600 on a Bank of America account. The bank wouldn't cash the check, wouldn't say why, just said go back to the person who wrote the check. Of course, Jeffrey Parsons wouldn't answer my call but did answer my text, saying that Bank of America closed his account because too much money was going in and out and that he needed a different type of account. He said he would send me a money order. I even texted him once again after waiting the appropriate time for a money order to reach me. He said Yes, it's on the way, when I asked if he had issued a money order. By this time I had a bad feeling that I had been taken advantage of. I've since goggled the business name on the check - Antique Pickers Back Roads Tour and immediately, SCAM comes up, mostly on Face Book from different people who have had the same experience as I have. He is mentioned by name as being the scammer. Most of his activity that I've seen so far has been throughout Texas. Does Best Western in Surprise know that they are staging this event for a man scamming mostly seniors out of their antiques and coins? I filed a fraud report with the Postal Inspection Services since the US Post Office was used to distribute the fliers. I have the check he wrote, pictures of the items he "bought" the flyer and his text messages that I can share with you if you'd like.

Yup, I did the same thing only I'm currently only out the $125 plus $12 bank charge for returned check. I don't see how this guy can still be able to do this after being caught in Illinois and Texas both. He was at that hotel for a week! Wish I had gone the first day and tried the check while he was still there. I feel like such an [censored] as I am pretty good at sensing a scam. I'm having my attorney send a demand for payment letter but doubt at this point if it will do any good. If we only knew all the people he scammed here in Phoenix maybe we could do a class action suit. This jerk belongs behind bars!
