BanaLogic Corporation Reports & Reviews (1)

BanaLogic (www.banalogic.com) is running a scam where they post a temporary job on Indeed.com for a Data Entry Clerk in their Rancho Cordova, CA, office on the website www.Indeed.com, conduct an online interview with the candidate on Gmail hangouts, ask for the name of the candidate's bank, and then want to send the candidate a check, supposedly to pay for a laptop to do the Data Entry Clerk job. As soon as the candidate is involved in the interview, the job changes to being remote and no longer being a temporary job; it becomes a permanent hourly job with time and a half for overtime. That is the bait. Next, the interviewer, a "Cheryl Hooms," who says she is with Human Hoist LLC, which she says is "affiliated with BanaLogic," says she will send the candidate, who has now passed the interview, a check to be sent to "one of 40 companies affiliated with BanaLogic and Human Hoist LLC." The check will supposedly pay for a laptop to be loaded with programs to perform the data entry clerk work. No W-9 information is ever requested of the new "employee." I don't know whether this scam is laundering money through strangers who are told they are new employees, or stealing the candidates' bank account information in order to commit wire fraud. I have collected all details of the scam below and in the attachments.

I applied for the job I believe on Saturday, Jan 5, 2019, and was contacted via email two days later by a "Rainey Clark" (email below).

Next, I created a Gmail account and conducted the online interview with this "Cheryl Hooms," for which I have collected and pasted print screens, attached to this email. This is a terrible scam that wastes an hour of a person's time when they are job seeking, as well as potentially allowing identify theft, wire fraud or involuntary involvement in money laundering. Please shut this down!
