On 4/24/19 They called the office to confirm the address for an invoice they had for us for 2018 that went unpaid. I stated that I did not have their information in my system, but I confirmed the address and awaited further information from them. This invoice was to be mailed, but it has yet to be received. Turns out they were signing us up for online advertising and they just called again today to request the overdue payment. We never received the invoice in the mail and when he said they he would play back the tape where I authorized the advertising, it was only part of the phone conversation where I confirmed the address so they could send a copy of the invoice. This is a scam. Total scam. They faxed an invoice to us today in the amount of $689.55 for online advertising that we never had and never signed up for.

We were contacted by phone by a person saying that we had an overdue account with Business Info Source and they asked for our address in which to send a bill, we said we do not believe we have purchased this service from you but confirmed our address, two weeks later we receive a bill for 689.55 for their listing services. We look up the company and turns out to not be a credible company and we can not find our so-called "listing" anywhere on their directory.

I rec'd. a invoice in the mail for $689.55 dated April 19, 2017. I called them because we did not agree to any advertising and I had never heard of this company. The lady I needed to speak to was out of the office so I left a voicemail message for her but never heard back from her. I rec'd. a call from a collection agency during the last week of October 2017 saying it had been turned over to his company for collection. I advised we did not order any advertising and that we were not paying for something we did not authorize. He said he would have Business Info Source contact me. The collection department from Business Info Source called me this morning, she played a recording where I verified our company address and my name. At no point during the terribly recorded conversation did I authorize anything. I advised we would not pay the bill and she could do what she wants with it. Very poor recording, sounds like it's in a tunnel. Very shady and fraudulent company.

Agent calls to confirm business address and name. Received an invoice for $689.55 for 1 year of online advertising. We did not agree to this and they are threatening to send it to third party collections

This company acquired information about one of our locations, the store manager's name, and sent Accounts Payable an invoice stating that he authorized online advertising with them. The store manager in question never authorized advertising.

A Georgia Thompson from this business first contacted our business on March 6th, she called claiming that a previous employee had signed us up for their services and she was calling to renew. I told her that we have never authorized or used their services before in the past and that we would like to cancel the services. She said that would be no problem and the call ended there. A week later, she called and we spoke again, she said she is trying to close our account, but to do so our account needs to be paid in full. She said she would offer us a $100 discount if we pay with a credit card over the phone right then. I told her that we never pay for our bills with credit over the phone, and that I would need a copy of the invoice mailed to our business, and then I will remit payment upon receiving it. She ended our call by saying that she will mail the invoice out. Today, the same woman called again, asking to speak to the employee who hasn't worked here for over a year, this is the third time she's called to speak to this person, only for me to say that she doesn't work her anymore, and that I now hold that position. She says that our account is past due and needs paid immediately. I tell her that I haven't received the invoice via mail, and we will not be paying the bill until we receive it. She gets a little frustrated and says they sent the invoice to our address and it should be here by now, and she insists on faxing it over. The invoice she faxed over is clearly a fake invoice because the document looks very unprofessional and unaligned.

I was contacted by Business Info Source on September 24, 2015 to verify my business information for an online listing. The call was recorded, but only a portion of what was discussed was actually taped. I specifically said NO to any billable advertising, The recording was manipulated to make it sound like I agreed to the invoice, while in fact I only agreed to the fact that the information about my business was correct. Upon receiving the invoice and contacting them, I searched online to discover that it is a scam that persists in both Canada and the United states.
