- Miami, FL, USA

On August 21, I received by email a job offer for a Project Manager position that I didn't remind to apply for but since I'm currently looking for a new job in different platforms I decided to move forward with the process. They told me that will be a phone interview, that due to a new office opening planned to be on October 18, no person interview will be held in Miami and that I will have to go through a probationary period paid during one month. They sent paperwork to be signed for the probationary period, offering the payment of 2k, along with a work schedule for the one-month training with different subject and business cases. Each case will be due by the next day before noon, and the probationary period grade had to be "B" as the minimum. During the business cases of study, everything looks normal, my grade was an "A" all the time, and because of that, they proposed me to do a Project offering to pay additional 2k plus commission. The Project will consist in buying Apple Macbooks and delivered to the new office or warehouse, I had to pay with my credit card and they will send me a Chase account number from the corporate account to set up as payment to my credit card. I wasn't very confident but I called Chase and confirmed that the account was real but they can't give any other information for security purposes. I decided to do the PO, but it was changed to the purchase of 7 Apple gift cards of 2k each for a total of 22k. I purchased the gift cards 2 at the time of 2k each and request funds (payment) to continue, then I had to give them the Gift Cards info. During that time I was checking the balance on the cards and it remained with the total amount. When I was almost done with the PO and with only the webinars of the probationary period, they started to tell me that the website was having issues and it was going under construction, I waited 2 weeks for the webinars, in the meantime, I continued with the PO. They also send me an Offer Letter for the Project Manager full-time position with all the details of the employment. When I finished the PO of the cards and sent them all the info, they just disappeared. No answer any of my emails, the gift card balances went to zero. At this moment I'm reporting this type of scam to the corresponding authorities so I don't get charged with any felony and they can find the people responsible for the crime. I believe that I was a victim of some type of money laundering job scam or identity thief. This is a reduced version with the important details of what happened, I have other details and documentation that I'm sharing with the authorities.
