DENNIS Uniform Impostor Reports & Reviews (2)

Basically the same thing that happened to another user on May 4, 2021 happened to me. I received a text several weeks ago because I noticed DENNIS uniform is in Nashville so I ignored it because that's way to far of a commute to work. Then I received another text today, May 15, 2021. First off getting a text on a weekend to me seemed odd. But then they offered to do the INTERVIEW via text. They said training was $19 an hour and pay was $30 an hour for a work from home job. I never downloaded Skype as they requested and I won't get as far as them sending me a check or asking me to Zelle them because I was able to find the other scam review online. Thankfully I'm not actually that desperate for employment. Just looking for work to have something to do. But seriously this is a cheap shot at getting people who need work scammed out of money they probably need for necessities.

- Chatsworth, GA, USA

I was contacted by a Karen Cutlip saying she a recruiting agent for DENNIS Uniform and that she found my application on Indeed. She said that the had a opening for a data entry clerk/ customer rep paying $30 an hour and asked is I was interested. Of course I said yes. So she said to download skype and contact Michael Turner which I did. In the past i would have never done such a thing but times have changed so I thought this was the new normal. He said we would do the interview on skype via texting. he asked me questions I have been asked in many interviews before. after about 40 minutes he said I seemed like a good fit for their company. He then said a i would receive an employee offer letter which I did along with a direct deposit form which i filled out. Because I am still thinking this is a legit job. He then said the company would be sending me a check to cover the expenses of the home office equipment I would need. Sure enough last Saturday morning Fed ex showed up with a check for 5,800.09 and I was instructed to deposit it which I did via my app. The bank put the check on hold until May10. Now Mr Turner is asking me to prepay $600 to start getting some of the items I need shipped and wants me to use Zelle which is an app that only lets you use your bank account. What made me think was the gmail he wants me to send it to looks like a personal one and not a company. It is [email protected](shiiy sims) he said after mailing the check I would be ordering the items needed from a company. Needless to say thinking I had a job they now have a copy of my DL, my address, my routing number to my bank, and my past job history.
