The scammer called a family member of mine, left a voicemail saying they are looking for me because of criminal activity. I have never been in trouble or done any thing criminal. When my family member called the number back they answered hello, the person would not give a company name or their name. When my family member asked they said they can only talk to me and hung up. This has happened in the past where they have left voicemails on my phone but when I called the number back it did not work. They have called another family member of mine asking for me and someone I do not know. I do not know what type of scam this is. I think it is a scam because they would not reveal the company name or their name.

"Amy," a feminine voice with a southern accent, called from(which is the local area code for me) stating she was on a recorded line and stated that according to her information someone from this household was trying to find a job, and she could provide good fits after receiving some basic information. When she asked me for my full name, I asked her what information she would require in summary to assist me. She answered: "yes." I asked again, what questions was she going to ask me, and what information would she require. She apologized and said sometimes she gets misinformation, and said that someone in our household was trying to get further education, and she could provide some resources if I would answer some basic questions. I asked her where her office was located, and she informed me it was Phoenix, Arizona. I told her I was concerned because her phone number was local for me, she stated she was in Phoenix, and she changed her story from careers to education. She apologized again, and repeated her line about education, adding, "so you don't see yourself going back to school for any reason in the next 5-6 years?" to which I replied: "I don't, unless you can provide me with your corporate address." Her reply was: "well I'm sorry, but it appears that you are not eligible for any of our programs at this time." I thanked her and hung up. She was extremely polite the entire time.

I received two calls, one from unknown and the other from 860-516-6331. They wanted to lower my interest rate on my credit card. I asked that they mail me information. When I asked for the information they hung up. The person on the phone had a foreign accent.
