Individual with heavy Asian accent provides me with full information on my monthly bill from Direct TV and tells me that I qualify for a reduced monthly rate (50%) for up to 24 months if I pre-pay 5 months. I agreed (kept playing along to see what was next), then a supervisor confirms the info and explain to me that since it an Amazon/Direct TV sponsored promo, I have to go to a CVS, buy a $300 Amazon gift card and call Direct TV "billing and promotion" back to provide information. I was suppose to call 1-888-770-6370 ext 1...
