I was paying for the transfer of a piano from California to Dallas. I have the ladies name that supposed put on Freecycle. Then she told me she moved to California and I had to send the moving company money to send piano to me.

I sent this he money via Zelle and no piano came. The company is not accepting calls either.

On the Freecycle website, somebody advertised a free baby grand that she was giving away because she didn't want to move it. Texting with the "individual", I was able to find the name of the "movers" that had taken it to Pasedena. For $500, I could have it sent back to my area. No questions were asked by the shipping company about whether or not this lady would care if it was just shipped to our home. I checked the website (difficult to find, as not much info is available for this "company." It's a dummy website with broken links and an address that belongs to another company. I called the other company and was informed this is a scam. Apparently I haven't been the only one to call to verify the address! Do NOT buy from this company!

I'm a musician and was in need of a piano. I responded to a craigslist ad for a free piano. I have acquired pianos before on Craigslist, usually, it's been sitting at home and they want it out of the house. In this particular case, I received an email in regard to a piano I had inquired about. A very convincing story about a widow and her husband's "beloved piano". After emailing back and forth "Dr. Marie Russel" she said that regrettably, she was moving to CA, and the piano was in transit but it could be rerouted. She asked me if I would be willing to pay for any fees involved. The email included many pictures of the item and didn't seem suspicious at the time. The company she "used" was "Exselsure movers". The website seemed legit and I spoke with someone a few times over the phone in regard to the quote. In my excitement, I wasn't thinking straight and paid for the "rerouting". It was supposed to take 10 days and it's been 14. I called the number on their website 559-520-7835 one morning and no answer. After leaving a message I figured I would call back later as they may have been busy. I tried calling again and lo and behold "the number you have dialed has been disconnected." I tried the chat on their website and I received an answer the first time. The second time no answer or anything. Beware of moving scams. I myself didn't think that this type of scam existed but now I know better. My only fear now is that I gave our "delivery" address and well lets just say that comes with its concerns.
