The company advertised a work from home self employed opportunity in the thrifty nickel paper. It is called Home Associates and lists a contact number of 972-221-7035. When I contacted the number it was a vmail recording that asked you to leave your name and address and they would mail the information on how to get started to you. So I left my information and received a letter within a few days that explained what the business and process was. It would be stuffing and mailing envelopes from home to earn extra cash. Of course there was a one time initial fee of $28 to cover there cost in showing you what to do and supplies, plus $5 for shipping and handling. I admit I was a little skeptical, but in need of extra income so I decided to take a chance. Well it's been 10 days sent I sent the money order and I haven't received any supplies yet. So I called Western Union to see if the money order had been cashed yet. At this time it has not luckily and after looking deeper into the info on the web regarding this company, I found 3 complaints with the BBB, 2 in the last 12 months. The company had already cashed these people's money orders and never mailed the supplies. Also the company failed to respond to messages they had left trying to figure out why no package was ever sent and demanding refunds. I feel these recent complaints have probably made the scammers a little reluctant in cashing any money orders right now because they know complaints have been filed. I have filed a stop payment on my money order and hope they do attempt to cash it eventually so they can be identified and stopped. Although I'm curious as to why they still have a current ad running in the thrifty nickel paper. Whoever you people are I anticipate your fraudulent days are numbered and I'd be delighted if your attempting to cash my m/o results in your capture. Please be aware that this company is a scam, do not send them your hard earned money as I made the mistake of doing.
