When on the internet. I got a message page along with a very loud continual alert sound. The page tells you to call a long distance phone number. The tech name was Rayan Singh Emp ID# 01178. He asks if he can access your computer and then I saw files opening. It takes about 5 minutes, then he told me that it would cost so much, but I could get service for life for $599.00.
I just got a similar message on my computer just now, but it said it was from Microsoft Support and gave a totally different number to call. I got out the paperwork printed out from the 1st time and called that number back. An electronic voice answered and said it is the number of a bank.

On my computer, Windows virus pop ups; loud alarm. Gave a support # to call immediately. They ask for access to computer so they can run diagnostics. Gave me info on who I was talking to: Name: Ronnie, Employee ID: Ron1109, Ext No. 5526, Location: West Hollywood. They make it seem like you have many viruses and need to clean computer professionally. They give you tech options: Trained Support or Professional Support. Each costs money. They also have you type in your name, email and phone #. They are all foreign speaking and they transfer you from one group to the other. They then try to get you to buy firewall programs. Most importantly, they start pulling up files and asking you if they are yours.
