Immortelle youth Reports & Reviews (2)

I so an ad for a sample of Robin McGraw's anti-aging cream. When I received the products, they was not from her line of products. It was labeled Immortelle Youth. There was no papers inside the package, so I had no number to call. After approximately 18 days I had to very large charges on my bank statement. I contacted the bank to dispute the charges. They asked that I contact the manufacturer to ask that my money be refunded. The bank provided me with the merchant's phone number. I was told by the merchant that I agreed to their terms. Which stated that what I received was a trial and I had 12 days to cancel, or be charged the full amount and be enrolled into their program that would automatically ship me new products every 30 days. I told them there was no way I would have agreed to that and no where did I read that.

On June 19, 2019, I requested a FREE TRIAL of a moisturizer and eye cream from Immortelle Youth. I paid for postage to receive the products with my credit card: $4.72 & $4.83. Once received, I put the products aside without opening either product, to possibly use at a later time.

On July 5,2019, I received a call message from the fraud dept. of my credit card company stating I had two charges charged to my account: $93.83 & $92.72. I immediately called and asked that they not be paid. Visa blocked the $92.72, but had already allowed the $93.83 charge, so the rep told me I’d have to take it up with the merchant. I called the 833 number on the cc charge, snd spoke with customer support. I was told because I didn’t return the merchandise, I was charged the full price if it. I was NOT aware it had to be returned to avoid a charge. I said I had not even taken the cellophane off of the products snd would return them that day. I was told I would have to pay a 10% re-stocking her regardless. I requested to speak to a supervisor, who after some conversation, agreed to refund me $40 that day(July 3rd), snd refund the remaining $53.83 once the products were received by them. I mailed the products back on July 3rd by USPS tracking. The company received the merchandise back on July 6, 2019.

When I had not received credit on my card by July 15th, I again called the customer service number. Once I provided them with the tracking # and return date of the merchandise, I was told I would receive refund minus the 10% re-stocking fee; app. $35 refund of the $53.83 I was promised by the previous supervisor. I spoke with three different people during this second call, for a total of 53 minutes. I never had anyone say they would refund the full purchase price if the product I never opened.

I feel this is fraud at its best and elder financial abuse as well. It’s also false advertising. I have filed a dispute of payment with my credit card company and am reporting the company to you. In the meantime I am out $53.83 for products I thought were a FREE TRIAL! Please warn others if this scam and unethical business practice.
