Called my wifes phone from an Idaho area code. Called me from a 605 area code. Sent me a text from a California area code. Person claimed to be from American Income life insurance. Could not provide me with where they were calling from other than South Dakota. Told me they have an office in South Dakota but could not provide a location and told me they only do over the phone policy reviews due to covid. Claims to be Alice from American Income life insurance and wants me to speak with her Manager Todd tomorrow after 6pm to review my policy. Found it also odd that they would be calling me after 7pm to set this up. Possible data breach at American income life? The text message was from 209-799-3382 confirming our appointment tomorrow. Obviously i wont be consulting with these individuals. She asked me questions like when i start work and when i get home. Asked what time zone I live in. All the while claiming to be from South Dakota. Individual got somewhat defensive when i asked her where she was calling from. When she told me South Dakota I asked her why she would be asking me what time zone I live in if she is from South Dakota herself? Again was somewhat defensive and told me it was to verify i wasnt out of town so the phone call they are setting up with the manager doesnt conflict with different times zones.

An individual named "Eric" contacted me claiming to be a representative of Allstate and requested information about my address and phone number to "take pictures of the residence for a new homeowners insurance policy." Eric provided me with incorrect information and routinely requested I provide him with updated address and personal information. I contacted Allstate and they had no record of this person being assigned to this policy nor any record of him being an Allstate representative. I asked for Eric's NTID number, and he refused to provide this information or any corroborating information intended to verify his identity. He became rude with me via text, referring to me as "bud," and threatened that my Allstate policy would be canceled. Allstate advised me to block his number and was made aware of this situation.

They left a message saying that it was important for my daughter (18) to call. They gave a reference number. When I typed in the reference number they wanted you to say YES to verify it. They did not have a number 1 or 2 verification. I was doubtful that a big company such as Emblem Health would have such a system. I called Emblem Health and they told me that they do not have that number for any of their services, and that they have had no reason to contact anyone in our family.
