Karman Services Reports & Reviews (2)

A man called my mom repeatedly for months offering computer technical assistance and virus protection. My mom kept telling them that she didn't have problems with her computer and that she had someone already who helps her. Then a few weeks ago my mom happened to be having computer problems and her usual computer helper was not available and this man called. This man claimed he was from Microsoft and he could help her. So she gave him remote access to her computer and he helped her to complete an on-line payment for $201.34 Canadian. They claim they installed a anti-virus protection and that she had a hacker in her computer that they helped to take care of. After speaking with my Mom's financial institution they informed us that this company "Karman Solutions" had attempted on 4 other times in the week preceding this incident to withdraw money on-line from her account but were unable to due to insufficient funds. I have emailed this company to complain and they only respond with an email to call them. When you call the company they often re-direct your phone calls or get you to speak with the service technician to explain the services they provided. The people you are connected with speak with broken English and it's hard to make out what they are saying, they just repeat themselves and you aren't able to have a conversation or have your concerns heard.

Hello I am looking for some help please. I received a convincing call today that my windows system was sending messages to this Microsoft company that I had serious issues with my computer. And I had received messages on my computer that Google Chrome was no longer supported and Microsoft Secure was not working anymore because I was not using Windows 10 or higher.

So I let them take control of my computer to show me the problems. They showed me that I had been hacked and Black Listed. And that all my financial information was at risk. They put me through a high pressure sale pitch to buy a five year protection plan from them for $399 USD.

I told them that there was no way I could possibly afford it as I am on social assistance and would have no money for groceries. They insisted that hackers would be able to access my accounts and steal all my money. I said might take a one year plan but they kept pressing the five year plan and offered me a senior's discount of $100 even though I am not a senior.

It was too much for me and I succumbed. But now after doing some research I can't find the company name anywhere. They said they were a contractor for Microsoft called Karman Services. The email they sent me has no return email address and the 1-800-299-4065 number I was given to contact them has been noted on the internet as scam. The number that appeared on my phone when they called was 1-547-854-4512 which is a spoof area code (547) I just found out.

My computer doesn't run any faster and when I tried to send an email with their name in it to a troubleshooter an error message came up. I think my computer may now be in real jeopardy and my small disability amount I receive from social assistance is further reduced by $400 CDN because of this fake service.

Can anyone help me?
