Komodo Marina Depot Reports & Reviews (4)

on April 13th I too was looking for a boat on several websites and found on on craigslist. The owner emailed me (Dr. Lorain Miller) and told me she was using Komodo to sell the boat. went online and i did research on the company and looked at their website and it seemed legit. Even put the vin# on the boat in and it was listed for sale. Boat was never delivered and when I went back to call the company and emailed them everything disappeared. Sent and email that I was provided and it claimed it no longer existed. Same thing happened where I was contacted by a sales rep and went through the payment and shipping process. Still no boat

The same thing happened to my fiance. Same lady and all. We were told April 18th for delivery. They were on there way to the second delivery and the person was not home they said the person was in an accident and didn't make it so they had to take the boat back and unload and then would deliver our boat on April 18th. We have reported them to the better business Bureau and also got the sheriff's involved

April the 19 I had a return email from a boat owner who said she would sell her boat thru KMD. She email the link to the website. We spoke with the shipping manager and setup every aspect of the trans action with him and a billing person. We checked all web sites and reviews also contacted bank seemed very legit. We sent our money from one bank to the other with wire transfer. Bill of sale was obtained and instructions were given on shipping and dates. On arrival date no boat ! We were then contacted by email with some lame story and given new shipping date. That date came and went.NO BOAT. They are really good at the scam. Don’t use them.

On or about the 13th of April I was shopping for a small fishing boat, looking on ebay, crageslist and boat trader, i had found one that i liked and though i could afford on crageslist boats. I contacted the owner of the boat thru the crageslist channels by email. if was just a day or so before i received an email from the owner with regard the boat for sale she had told me that the boat was being sold by a consignment company called Komodo Marina Depot. They have you fill out a form basic information you make an offer on the item you are interested and then Komodo, contacts the owner for approval of the sale price. And make the arrangements for sale, they ask for a wire transfer for the total amount 10,300.00 and according to the site the item would ship in 2 to 3 business days. I have researched to Komodo Marina Depot, and found five or six web sites and loads of Reviews stating they have a 4 3/4 rating out of five. I was contacted by a sales rep who walk you thru the process for payment, and shipping arrangements of the item. After payment was sent, i have waited 3 or 4 days to hear from the shipper. I was unable to contact any one at their office, by telephone when to voice mail and no email response. Komodo Marina has pulled all online websites and left no way to contact them, still no boat
