I recieve a call from this recording at least once a week for the past month, each time selecting #2 to be removed from the call list, with the exception of today I stayed on the line for more info. When connected to a live agent, I mentioned my number and he hung up on me. I tried to call the number in my caller ID and it was "not in service"

This phone number and others just like it call me twice a day claiming they are with Marriott Hotels and that I’ve won an trip someplace. When I call their number back, it leads me to my local library. I spoke with someone at the library and they too have received the same phone calls. I wouldn’t say it’s a reason to contact the ScamPulse.com and complain about Marriott because I’m sure it’s a different scammer claiming to be Marriott, however, after calling Marriott and pleading my case and requesting to speak with managers, they can only transfer me which leads nowhere. I’ve called Marriott three times and all three times I was transferred and forced to hold for 28 minutes each time and then the phone call went dead. Over an hour of hold time, ridiculous!

Received a phone call from a local number that was almost the same as mine; only the last four digits differed. Heard a recording that thanked me for choosing to stay at Marriott and that my confirmation number had been selected for a complimentary stay. I was asked to press "1" to redeem my complimentary stay. My wife and I recently reserved a few nights at a Westin hotel, so I pressed "1". After a few seconds of elevator music, a live individual again thanked me for using Marriott and asked me to confirm that I was over 30 years old. While I was on hold I did a quick search for "Marriott phone scam" and saw a warning report on a travel forum with a scenario similar to what I was experiencing. I hung up without saying anything.

Recording stated that I was eligible for (1) free night with Marriott, then a live person asked if I was over the age of thirty. When I said yes, the call was disconnected.

Marriott automated said I won a free night then transferred me to an operator who asked if I was over 30 years old? After I said yes she hung up

- Pasadena, MD, USA

Marriott recording stating my phone number was drawn to receive a free night stay, press 1 for more information. Then a person asked if I was over the age of 21. Placed me on hold for 4 min, then asked my name, then hung up on me.

- Vancouver, WA, USA

Computer call identifying as Marriott. Said I was chosen to receive a prize. East Indian sounding person came on the line after I said hello and asked me to wait. Another East Indian sounding person came on the line an asked if this was area code 360. I said yes and caller hung up.

I remember seeing something in a recent newspaper article about phone calls getting you to say yes and then hanging up. Therefore I decided to report this call. Call happened Feb. 24 , 2017 at 11:09 AM PST

So far no loss of money.
