Security deposit scam/fraud. They claimed that new paint jobs (for a 2,000 sq ft home), filling in pre-existing tack holes, cleaning, and landscaping were not done. We left the property CLEANER and MORE MAINTAINED than when we first moved in and have thorough documentation - written and photographic. Not to mention, wear and tear should not be the responsibility of the tenants, according to the leasing contract. We have been communicating with the landlord directly, who popped in on us (with notice) for a visit one day to check on the property and was extremely grateful for how well we took care of it. We learned from that he was being charged for some of the same things WE were being charged for, so this company double dips from BOTH TENANTS AND LANDLORDS, then lies to both parties. The landlord has since removed the property from their listings (glad they lost a customer). We have since moved out, but not without our security deposit being stolen for the “repairs” and “landscaping” which they totally didn’t do (we had to pick up a package). After every correspondence they dragged out the process while the “landlord” or “internal team” reviewed information. Even with pictures, emails, screenshots, receipts, video, correspondences, and screenshots our dispute got rejected. REJECTED.

Their HQ is in another state, their customer service line leads to a generic call center where no one knows who is in charge, and they hide behind an LLC to remain nameless and faceless, so extremely difficult to track down who to sue. We the tenants are fine with the landlord, but the rental company is SUPER scummy. (Not to mention, they hire internally for their “services” … the amount we “owed” was CONVENIENTLY exactly the same amount as our security deposit). Even after consulting a lawyer, it has been difficult to track them down for small claims court.

Oh, and most of their five star Google reviews are fake or paid reviews from people in other states, or reference a customer service rep that doesn’t exist (likely an alias? which is also nameless, faceless bull[censored]). Someone with the money and resources, please investigate the fraudulent activity of this company.

This organization is a nightmare. Stay as far away as possible. If you have a problem, you are out of luck. They have no presence in most states; they operate out of CA. You have no recourse if you need legal help because they are not in the state. They know this and do nothing to help you once you sign the lease. I had no a/c all summer; they did nothing. Stay away!

This is the worst property management company I have ever rented from. The ac went out and has been out for a week. No one has a clear answer to when someone can come out. In one day, I was told three different companies would be coming. No one showed. All they ever do is say they will notify you soon with an update. It’s 86 degrees in here. It’s so hot and humid that it’s hard to breath.

If you are a home owner and consider renting your property out with Mynd, PLEASE DON'T!
I ended my contract after working with them for 2 weeks. The only thing they did during those 2 weeks was an inspection after I pushed for it several times. I bust my [censored] out to empty the house within 2 days so that they could start their work asap. But they just wasted my effort and time. I don't know if they don't have the resources to pay enough attention to each customer or they just don't take it seriously.
The worst part is the communication. Don't get fooled by their fancy webside and messaging page. I could never get a response to my messages within 2 days. I had to message the property manager, email and call her boss, even pretend to be a new customer to contact their sales team to get an answer to my questions.
Because they wasted 2 weeks, it was almost Thanksgiving when I had to change to a new property management. I cannot rent my home out this year since no one moves during holidays.
After all this, they still charged me the management fee for a full month. This is definitely the worst experience of my life by any means.

This company posted a rental I called to inquire on the number they had provided on the post and the guy sent me info and I applied. With in 3 minutes of me applying they denied me and not only did they do that they also decided to charge their application fee 3 times to my account?! I called and the person on the phone simply read out the same email that was sent to me and when I asked for a supervisor he couldn’t transfer me for some random excuse of the call not getting approved?! Left me on hold for 40 minutes till I hung up. The person on the phone could not help me nor transfer me and was very Evasive when I was trying to ask information about my application
