The email appears to be from Norton by Symantec, including their logo (Virus Protection software). They say in the email that your subscription is expired and that you will be automatically renewed and your account will be automatically charged $269.66. After calling the phone number, they require you to download an app in order to obtain their cancellation form. The caller appears to be from India. After following their instructions, their app attempts to take control of your computer. Do NOT allow their app to make changes to your computer. After refusing to allow them access, the caller said that you will not be able to use your computer. They also said that your bank account they have on file will be charged the $269.66. They refused to give me the bank that it would be drawn from, nor would they email me the cancellation form.
