From reading reviews, this is a scam.

Pebble survey Inc. sent a check for 2500$ From a credit union and asked me to go to an apple store and purchase 2 gift cards each of 1,100$ each and I get to keep what’s left over. They stated they wanted it done within 48 hours and the check must be deposited into an active check account and also sent me a text message in all caps to get back to them as soon as possible.

This person “David” sent an email through my school account offering money as a secret shopper. I was then sent a California Credit Union Check for $2500 and asked to deposit it in my account & purchase 2 Apple giftcards for $1100. The guy has been texting me & emailing me but something didn’t sit right so I researched & it’s a complete scam!

Recently received an email from a fellow student at my college asking about employment for A Pebble Survey INC. I inquired about the job, which was promising 800-1000$ extra a week, filling out survey's for local businesses.

I was asked to provide my address for my first assignment was to be sent to my home. Once I received the letter in the mail with my assignment, I noticed that is was for the apple store (not exactly a local business). I scanned over the information provided in the assignment, stating I was to buy two 1,100 gift cards with the provided 2500 check. Something didn't seem right, first of all, the limit of an itunes gift card is 500$ in person. Second, they failed to include the address for the apple store with my assignment, instead asking me to share the information to them. Third, the paper assignment I received looks as if it is to be filled out and sent back, but no instruction were provided to do so. Only instructions on how to deposit the cashiers check and scam me and my bank out of money.

I got an email from my college advisor, stating that there was a position for doing secret shopping surveys. I applied and a few days later got “approved” and would be receiving my packet in the mail in a few short days. I got my package with a $2,500 check. The survey says to go to the post office and get 2 money orders for $1000 each and 10 books of stamps. Plus make sure I’m constantly texting a phone number on the “survey” after finished you need to mail the merchandise, receipts and survey paperwork. I’m going to shred all of this because it just doesn’t sound right to me!

I received an email about an employment opportunity via email. Opened it and 2 weeks later I receive a check for $2,500.00 with instructions of being a secret shopper on USPS. Unreal...

$2500 check received with instruction letter from Pebble Survey Inc. Letter received via priority mail from Audrey Dennis 109-71 195th street, St Albany, Ny 11412. Mystery shop in Apple Store gift Card. Request deposit of check and text deposit info to 323-840-1332.

My daughter received an email from a student at her PA college describing a great "job" opportunity becoming a "Mystery Shopper" . After filling out a brief survey, you receive and email from David Bodin stating that you have been chosen to become a "mystery shopper". Next, you are sent a Fed Ex letter from David Bodin (return address is from James Macmillan in Queens Village NY) giving you your first "survey" as a mystery shopper. You are to deposit a $2500 check into your bank account which is to "evaluate your local apple store in your city, the check covers all expenses, evaluation, shopping, taxes, and your compensation os $300 for completing the survey assignment'. Your "assignment" is to purchase (2) $1,100 Apple Gift Cards and evaluate your service at the Apple store. Once evaluated you are to "Text a picture of your purchase receipt to David Bodin and your scratched/peeled off store gift card once done at the store" . The SCAM is that the $2500 check is FAKE so you have essentially texted David Bodin $2,200 in Apple gift cards. The check in your account will BOUNCE leaving you to owe the $2,200 to your bank.

A student at my school sent an email about a “legit” mystery shopper business. I followed the instructions in the email and contacted Pebble Survey Inc Actionable Intelligence Delivery. David Bodin from Pebble Survey Inc requested my address to send me an instruction packet. A few days later I received a check for $2500.00 and instructions to purchase 2 Apple Gift Cards for $1,100.00 each for a James Macmillan sent priority 2 day mail from 20931 110th Ave Queens Village, NY 11429-1413. The instructions in the packet explained $300 of the funds from the $2500.00 check were mine for purchasing the gift cards and that I would later be paid an additional $200 for completing my mystery shopping within 48 hours. I was required to text a picture of the receipt from the gift card purchase transaction AND the “scratched/peeled off store gift card”.

No instructions were given of what to do with the gifts cards once purchased. “I’ll provide details” were the only followup instructions.

Secret shopper scam. Buy Apple gift cards total 2200 and keep 300 of a 2500$ check you deposit in bank account

They listed an ad on Indeed for becoming a secret shopper, thinking Indeed doesn't have scam jobs listed I applied. Almost a month later, I received a piece of priority 2-day shipping mail. Inside was a slip of paper and a "check" for $2,500. The paper instructs to go to the post office, text a number from the parking lot of the post office (already sounds sketchy) and then go inside and buy two $1,000 money orders and 10 books of stamps. They then break down the charges and claim to keep $300 for wages. I noticed this was a scam because, the sender is different then the supposed survey coordinator. And, the check looks entirely phony and claims to be from "Chevron Federal Credit Union". A David Bodin person claims that if you fall for this scam within 48hrs they will give you a $200 fast start bonus (yay). Please don't fall for this obvious scam.

Pebble Surveys advertises as a mystery shopping service. You register on a website with a domain different than pebble surveys. They send you an email from a David Bodin MBA. In a couple of weeks they send you a check from red canoe credit union to buy $2500 in Apple Store gift cards and review the experience.
