Seniorgem Reports & Reviews (12)

I had the same experience everyone else has reported -- the fraudulent seller never sent me a weight bench. But after I sent the "seller" money through PayPal, I read about his scam on this site. I contacted PayPal within 4 days and asked them to stop the transaction. PayPal promised to "investigate," but did nothing. After the scammer sent them a phony tracking number, PayPal notified me that they had resolved the dispute against me. Two days later, I sent PayPal a letter I got from the U.S. Post Office attesting that the tracking number was fraudulent (it pertained to a 7 ounce envelope that had been sent to a different address). PayPal shrugged off the proof -- contrary to its stated policy in the PayPal User Agreement that in the case of a dispute "our goal is to learn about and address your concerns" and "to provide you with a neutral and cost effective means of resolving the dispute quickly." I wrote two follow up letters to PayPal, but they ignored both. So, I filed a dispute against PayPal with the American Arbitration Association following the steps outlined at pp. 51-53 of their User Agreement. Under the agreement, PayPal has to pay all the costs of the arbitration. I'm representing myself, but PayPal hired a law firm that put 3 lawyers on the case. I don't know how much it's costing PayPal but I estimate it will end up being several thousand dollars -- all of a $104 dispute. My contentions are that PayPal was negligent and didn't keep its promise to "learn about and address my concerns" or investigate the dispute in a "neutral and cost effective way." This may seem like a lot of work for such a puny dispute, but for me there's an important principle here: PayPal shouldn't promise to protect unsuspecting buyers from fraudulent sellers unless it plans to keep its promise. In my case, they didn't.

I have to agree with all of the reviews posted here.
I ordered weight bench and paid $124. Received an email stating that USPS tracking number has been created and then after few days later status changed to “Delivered” but never received any bench.

This guy is scamming people and getting away from all PayPal and shipping loopholes.

Ordered an adjustable weight bench. Received confirmation, funds deducted from PayPal and then nothing. No tracking information; No email response; Not operational phone number. Filed a complaint with PayPal. Two days after received tracking confirmation for a 12oz envelope. But still in PayPal resolution state. With all these other Scam reports on this company, don't you think that PayPal would recognize this as fraud?

This is a scam. You will never receive the item nor will they reply to your emails.

Purchased a weight bench. The package never made it to me although the tracking said delivered. As other victims suggested, the scammer sent a small box or envelope with advertisement to a random address on my postcode so a tracking number could be obtained in USPS. This satisfies Paypal terms to release the money. Opened a case with Paypal and they closed it favoring the scammer as a valid tracking number was provided which in reality doesn't prove that it was delivered to me, just proves that something was delivered somewhere.

Same experience as others: I ordered weight bench, got a confirmation of order by email, then nothing. I contacted PayPal within a day after placing the order (after belatedly researching the phony SeniorGem site) and disputed the transaction. Although the listed cost of the bench was $104, the scammer billed my credit card for only $23. I put that charge in dispute. I sent an email to the listed address ([email protected]) informing the scammer he will get nothing.

For what it's worth, here's the listed information for the perpetrator of the scam:
TRINH VAN DOA 402-935-7733 CA. But don't bother trying to call the number. It is the customer support number for PayPal.

I ordered from this company on 6/9/2020. I placed a call at about a week and a half after and the number was disconnected. I emailed them at the email listed under the contact us and the email did not exist. I submitted the email form located on the page. I received an answer from a person with a "paypal" receipt (which when i purchased it i payed through the Paypal link listed on the site thinking it would be safe). The package was supposed to arrive on 6/24/2020 but got delayed in the process by a day . Then i receive a delivered message from the post office. The package was sent to the wrong address . When i called the post office they told me that tracking number was under another address and there was no other information they could give me. So i am now out 104.00 dollars and not product.

Seniorgem on shopify is a fraudulent business and is being aided by both PayPal and Shopify. Seniorgem accepts orders and processes your payment through PayPal. Once payment is received Seniorgem will send a First Class package to a random address within your same zip code (this pkg is misc advertisements) The result is they have a verified tracking # that they use to satisfy PayPal dispute. However, if you contact your local post office and ask a package research they are able to provide you with an email detailing the street, house #, city & zip as well as weight of package they delivered and the Geo certificate with longitude and latitude of delivery. You should then be able to re-open and dispute that PayPal closed due to seller providing a "legitimate" tracking number.

This fraudulent practice being utilized by SeniorGem aka Vàng Seo Hang has been reported to PayPal, shopify and the USPS Inspector General as it is considered a mail and wire fraud as defined in 18 U.S. Code § 1341 and §1343.
If you have been a victim of this scam contact USPS.com and file a report.
How PayPal and Shopify continue to do business with this fraudulent business is inconceivable.

I order a weight bench from this site about a month ago and it was never delivered. The email contact on the site is no good and neither is the telephone contact. I’m at a loss of what to do next to ensure my money is returned? I’ve contacted the post office and PayPal and Shopify and have been completely ignored! I’m out $100 bucks!

Exact same thing happened to me. Ordered weight bench for $80. Got a tracking number which eventually said it was delivered. Post office said tracking number for another address in the same town for a 1st class package (less than 14 oz.). Their phone number was disconnected and won't answer emails. However, I filed a dispute on Paypal and so far have lost due to the bogus tracking number that appears to show the package was delivered. This is not over. AVOID this seller like the plague. They will screw you!

I ordered a weight bench for $51 and I received a tracking number and it said it was delivered to my mailbox, which is small. I called and emailed them and got no answer or reply (3 emails). Called post office and she said the package weighed only 5 oz and was delivered to another address in my city.

I cannot reach the company for information.
