Skin Balance and Advanced Skin Reports & Reviews (1)

I was initially led to a product offering a free trail of a "Revolutionary Skin Product!" that was supposedly endorsed by Arlene Dickinson of Dragon's Den fame. This came to me through my LinkedIn feed, and the offer was to get 2 free samples of a cream and a serum which claimed to increase collagen production and reduce the signs of aging. Nowhere in the initial pitch are you told that you actually must pay for those free samples if you don't call within 14 days to cancel. You are also not told that a recurring credit card charge from 2 different companies will appear on your statement. When I initially saw the credit card charges I immediately called the number to stop any subscription, thinking I was being charged for a new round of the product (which did not work as promise!). The customer service rep not only tried to re-up my ordering frequency and would not initially take my cancellation, but then informed me that I was responsible for the cost of the 2 "free samples" I had received. No mention of the actual cost of these items appeared anywhere in the initial offering, and I was offered a 50% discount in the cost of future shipments, but nothing for the charge for my "free samples"!
