I also got a call from Vacation Rewards International and I was reluctant too at first. But after a while I gave in and excepted their offer. I looked up their website as i was told and found it. It look realistic and so I went for it. After about six months my wife and I decided to check it out and chose a destination that we liked and was interested in visiting. I then started calling them at 877-860-4667. The first call I got disconnected while the hold music was playing, so I thought well maybe they are busy. I called roughly 20 more times and every time the hold music would play for approx. 5 minutes and then the line would go dead. I sure do wish someone could catch these crooks and hang them out to dry. My wife and I are both retired on a fixed income. Yes I feel for it to be able to get away on a nice trip. These people don't care about anything but stealing other people's money. I wish I could find them, but of course that won't happen and we are just out $998.20.

An automation told me I won a Marriot hotel stay for free. I accepted and was transferred to a human(English speaking with very heavy accent), who told me I won a 5 night, 6 day resort package and additionally a 7 day cruise package all worth $5500 that I could use at any time during the next 5 years, even during black out dates, but if I act during this call, it will only be $1499. "Getting off the phone is considered a refusal." I said it wasn't in the budget and was transferred to his "Floor Manager" named James, who spoke very good English, sounded like a 30 year old "bro," kind of like me, so very relatable. We got along. Talked about recent hurricanes, etc... I asked him if I could put him on hold to do some research. He agreed. Found a Reddit saying a similar scam and flags. Website that James gave me has no address or phone number listed. I asked James for an address and he gave me a Cancun one that I couldn't find in Cancun. Finally I asked for the business phone number and while he started to give it he hung up midway. I think realizing that I was already not interested and only trying to find more red flags to report.
