This company originally sent me a text on 10/1/21 under the guise of Verizon free msg: saying “August bill is paid! Thanks! Here’s a little freebie for you!” with a link. Apparently I must have hit the link- I do not remember ordering anything. On 10/4/21 I was checking my credit card bill and seen three charges that I did not recognize. One from Harith Cool Group llc for $7.91 for a smart watch, one from HCGroup store for 9.99 for air buds and one from BuyRMHealth for 7.83 for warranty and aidbuds case and lanyard! All from clicking a link!! I called the company and they said they could not cancel the orders because it was already shipped. But I did receive an email that 2 of the orders were cancelled. So, I will await my credit.

The letter looked like it came from Verizon saying we were going to be disconnected due to overdue amount. I knew we were paid up and started looking at the letter. I called the number and it sounded just like Verizon. There is a line that says if you're impacted by Covid-19 go to verizon.com/covid19. It made me suspicious because first I wasn't overdue, second we don't get paper bills and three the actual wording just seemed to nice not just to the point. I contacted Verizon and they said that was not one of their numbers. The account number was ours.

19 second message stating Verizon account is suspended. 6 phone messages (I blocked number) in an hour.

I was called by a number that came up as being in Tennessee, which I looked up later as McKenzie TN. The initial call started with a recorded message stating my account had been suspended, but did not state who the call was from, and then a person picked up and stated they were from Verizon and that my account was suspended on suspicious activity, and they sent me a text message with a code i was to tell them. I went no further with the call, I hung up as it was very suspicious that the number was not an 800 type number and their call was strange. I immediately called Verizon Wireless official number where I found that the call was not initiated by anyone from Verizon and that there was nothing with my service wrong. The person at Verizon Wireless stated this was an up and coming scam where they go through to try and convince you that they are legitimate and ask for your information and get your pin number and such so they can then order equipment against your account. I would recommend if the call is NOT from a legitimate number you recognize then don't answer anything the caller asks of you.
