I was contacted by email by Melissa Boyd [email protected] about a position I don't remember even apply to about a project manager for an office soon locating in Orlando, FL. I went threw some easy training information and aced all their test. I was asked if I wanted to earn additional money working on a P.O.. They would supply an account that I can transfer money to my credit cards to purchase 4 MacBook pros and ship them to address provided. I was receiving the money transfer and all looked good until wen I purchased and shipped to the last one. With in a week of shipping out I received noticed that the funds from the account that I was receiving payments was closed and funds were being returned. I notified Michael Nellissen and he told me he was going to look in to it and if possible they could mail a check. I also told him that i never received my paycheck also for the training. After contacting him again about the money he never responded to me again. I also sent emails to Melissa Boyd and corporate and never received a response.

I got the email saying they liked my background on my resume (from Zip Recruiter) and if I was looking for employment at this time. I replied yes, had a 40 minute telephone interview with Melanie Boyd and a couple of days later, the emails started. I got approved for stage 1 training to be paid 2 days after the 30 day training period. So I have been expecting a $5,200 check and tickets to travel to New York for formal training to run the new office at the Port of San Diego. I was going to be on salary for $92,000 a year with full benefits. Now that I have been ghosted since April 19th, which was the last time my training manager (Michael Nellissen) emailed me the final test, I thought it was strange that he didn't respond when I emailed him regarding my test scoring on April 26th. I was asked about using my credit card to purchase products for other offices and I told him that it would have to be a company credit card and that I don't use a credit card since I am unemployed. This is hard to understand because I got the call from Emma in Switzerland around April 10th and how Michael wrote me of how impressed she was with me after our interview on the phone.
Is there some kind of legal process to get paid for training and the job offer that I accepted? How disgusted I am with being lied to.

Waves Freight Lines in Wyoming is a trucking company, not a real estate company based in NYC. No clue who "Michael Nellissen" is. We have not done any outside recruiting or hiring as we launch on May 1st. It seems someone may have seen our company's name in FMCSA filings and used it to run a scam. The contact info for the Casper, WY address and subsequent 800 number is correct for us. Our website is www.wavesfreight.com

Anything else is a scam.

I am going through the same process with the same contact, Michael Neillisen. Been offered the special project that involves linking the company bank account to my personal credit card so they can purchase supplies for an office in NYC. I turned down the offer and told him to give this job to the Purchasing Dept. I received emails regarding the process but still don't trust it.

I did all the tests, which even sent the final. He said the same thing, that it would take a week to get results from HQ. I emailed Michael yesterday for an update and he has not responded.

I am going through this process also and am on week 3 and was just asked to to do the credit card stuff for the project. Of course I am turning this down but seems like everyone here is doing the same thing and I agree it all seems scam like. Has anyone actually finished the 4 weeks and got the offer to go to new york?

I just finished the 4th test and submitted it last week. He told me it would take about a week to get updates/results, its been a week now. I emailed him yesterday and still havent heard anything yet back from them. Will update if I hear back or anything at all.

I have been in contact with "Michael". This smelled fishy from the beginning. The forms are simplistic, there were no required signatures on the agreements, they only want to interact through email, and "Melanie" and Michael" have the same phone number on their emails. I was contacted today from 929-203-3596 which is different from the 929-203-3506 number.
I've been waiting for the scam to play out, and I guess it will once I successfully pass the first test. Polarfl.com has been mentioned before as a scam. Wavefl.com is the newest and most recent attempt at fraud. These two websites are exact copies.

I’ve been doing all the tests and now I’m on the final one. Waiting to see what happens after I turn it in. I have spoken to multiple people from Zurich as part of interviews. Just waiting to see what happens.

Hey guys! I have been doing the tests and all this stuff that you guys have mentioned. I have been trying to find more on the company to see if it’s legit at all but couldn’t find anything. I’m on the final round of testing. However, I have spoken with Michael, his assistant, another person in the HR department and a lady from Switzerland. So It’s hard to tell if it’s a scam or not?

Yes. I declined and they said okay and kept moving forward.

Have you gine through the credut card part?

I am getting the same emails. Michael actually called me and setup a phone interview for tomorrow at 4pm. I am going to play along and see how this plays out. I haven't been asked to buy anything or give any personal info besides my address. The second he does...

He won't ask you to give that info. The first few weeks you (at least I was before he ghosted me) are handed very thorough emails regarding the "budding" company and told you will be taking tests every Friday. He then goes on to send you a word document every day with new info on the various freighting processes. If you happen to do well (and everyone...EVERYONE...will do "well") on the tests you'll have a chance to apply for a special project that will earn you extra cash. Please note that you never apply for the position yourself, he does it all "on your behalf". He than states that the very simple job is to apply for funds on your credit card, buy merchandise, then ship it somewhere overseas. This is where the red flag comes into play. He states that they never need your information, but if you are applying for funds from a company account how can they not get SOMETHING about your account out of it? No sense made. Also, really think about why they are asking trainees who no NOTHING about the company to freely apply for and receive company assets and purchase multi-hundred dollar tech? They can do that themselves, no? Why are you necessary?

I am also getting this same email and request. I have contacted the President of the real estate team that manages the building and asking if they are actually in contact with Wave FL as my own research on the company came up flat and even the Google Maps image is blocked by a bus (that's not a joke).

Other than that I found this listing of the Office Building (https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/77-Water-St-New-York-NY/12114927/) and if you scroll down you can see the names of companies that are currently renting from them ... and guess what name is not on the list?

Over the 24 has that I have been investigating this a few things have happened:
A new website (wavesfreight.com) has appeared on the web and their info was added on this site. This info is incorrect and I think added to mislead. The address is 77 Water St., New York, NY 10005, U.S.A. The company website is http://wavefreightlines.com/. There is an identical (except for the branding) website at https://polarfl.com/.

Also, the real estate company I contacted to verify Wave FL (https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/77-Water-St-New-York-NY/12114927/) has taken down the listing from what I can see last night. They have not yet emailed me back.

Update: There is an identical website at (https://polarfl.com/). Good ol' Michael is the only number on both of these websites...

I was contacted by someone from the company about a job offer. I couldn't remember if I had applied for it. Once I showed intrest, this man named Michael Nellissen contacted me about taking test for evaluation for employment. The website seemed legitimate but I couldn't find the business in New York state business website. Company was over seas. I couldn't find any news artical nor could I confirm that the company had a office in the building in the given address. There was a offer for a bonus if I took on a side project that would help improve my chances for hiring and make extra money. The task was to take a credit card (my own) and to add funds to it then purchase supplies for another office in a forgin country. I turned this down and I received several emails regarding the process.

My husband is going through the exact same thing and I had him look it up because why are we using a personal credit card? Are you also located in Las Vegas?
