Yellow Shippers Reports & Reviews (6)

I went on cregist and seen a 2014 sub for 6,000 I emailed them and the responded quickly and told me nationwide transport will be contacting me soon. They emailed me and told me to put 3,000 in a atm through bitcoin. I almost fell for it.

I was looking for a used UTV through Craigslist Nashville, TN. I found a 2014 Polaris UTV for only $4000.00 (about 2K less than retail prices I found). There was a Nashville phone number 615-922-1438 and a picture of the vehicle. I called and no one answered personally, but the phone went to a voice mail without a name. There was never an actual person who returned the call. I then received a email from ekrier56 indicating that the UTV was still avail. I said I could come and see it today. Then another email that said ekrier was a daughter and the UTV belonged to her deceased father. She and her mom moved to Fargo, ND and when asked why selling, she said it gave her mom "bad memories." Apparently the person only died a month ago, but they decided to move to North Dakota from Tennessee! ekrier56 emailed back that they would use Yellow Shippers who would transport the UTV back to Tennessee and the transport cost was included in the purchase price. The message went on to say that upon receipt of the UTV I would have 5 days to decide if I wanted it. There was nothing that read that I had to pay upon receipt. The fact that ekrier56 did NOT ask for money was my RED FLAG. It just made no sense to deliver a vehicle and not have to pay for it for 5 days or give any deposit. Furthermore, email read that seller would pay for return if I didn't want it. It was then written that the services of Yellow Shippers would be used to conduct the transaction.

Being skeptical, I then looked into Yellow Shippers. There is a web site called Yellow Shippers Shipping and Escrow Company with an address of 3264 7th Ave. N, Fargo, ND 58102. This site claims a history of 10 years and a phone that answers until 10 PM Central Time. When I called, before 10 PM (around 9:15 PM on July 12, 2018) no person or answering machine picked up the phone. However, someone or something picked up the phone after about a dozen rings and hung up. I then really began to suspect something. Why no answering machine or person when I was calling at times listed on their site. Yellow Shippers Number is 888-229-0559.

I then went to Google Maps to see the street view of 3264 7th Ave. N. and there was not a shipping company there. There appeared to be a Goodwill donation center, and possibly a granite counter supply yard. The street view didn't appear to focus on any physical address.

I have filed an inquiry with the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) that apparently regulates shipping companies. I did not get an answer yet from FMCSA. I did check a site to determine how to detect auto transport scams and that is how I got onto the FMCSA site. The scam alert site pointed out that any shipper should have a DOT number displayed prominently on its site. Yellow Shippers DOES NOT have anything about DOT on its site. Also on the Yellow Shippers site I kept getting an error message that displayed the numbers 404. Something about the web site just didn't appear correct.

Yellow Shipper web site seemed to have some ambiguous language about how to transfer the money and it appeared that they wanted to do it on-line. The on-line escrow account thing also didn't seem right. Usually escrow accounts deal with cash or check deposits -- ie) attorney escrow accounts.

When I didn't see yellow shippers on Google Maps street view I went to the ScamPulse.com site and your alert confirmed my fears. When I typed in Yellow Shippers, the name Bismarck Shippers came up so again something was wrong. I have not paid any money, but this is a pretty extensive scam that could probably fool most people because of the "escrow" option in the purchase. Had I not followed up on the shipper and actually looked into the shipping business, and thereby found the ScamPulse.com alert, I too could have been a victim. I am still going along with the scam in terms of pretending to be a ready, willing, and able buyer and intend to assemble all of the info that I can from the participants and will try and make them available to the ScamPulse.com if you are interested, as well as Craigslist, the FMCSA, attorney general, etc.

As an attorney I am concerned that this type of fraud can be very persuasive and costly to even an educated consumer. I would point out that the advertiser went so far as to claim the UTV was located specifically in "Franklin" TN on the Craigslist posting. The use of "Franklin" in the photo identity of a very good-looking UTV was obviously done to appeal to buyers who have cash and money to spend because Franklin is a upscale suburb of Nashville, TN and a place where -- possibly, a wealthy widow wouldn't care of getting rid of a UTV at a bit of a loss. But $4000.00 would be a good payday if the money can't be recovered!

Please note that I am willing to discuss this issue if need be or if there is any interest in my report.

This is such an elaborate and professional looking scam! I had an almost identical experience to another guy who reported this scam. I replied to an ad on CL in Denver for two Sea Doo 2017 GTX300 jet skies for $5400 A guy replied that it was his sister Emily Krier who had them for sale. She stated that her husband died, and that she had bad memories and wanted the jet skis gone, and she was moving back with her parents. She stated that the Sea doos were stored at a shipping and escrow company in Fargo, ND called Yellow Shippers. If you google Yellow Shippers, you can't find them, but she gave me the exact website of www.yellow-shippers.com, they come up. It was a very professional website, with testimonials and working links. I tried calling the 888-229-0559 number they had listed, but no one answered. Emily stated that she had them send an invoice to pay from, and once paid they would be shipped for my 5 day inspection before funds were released to her. I couldn't find the email, so I called Yellow Shippers. A guy with a middle eastern accent answered, I guess this time they were expecting my call, and he resent the email. I found it in my spam folder marked as phishing. So I checked the BBB website foe Yellow Shippers, and here we are! I emailed Emily that I found her name and this scam on the BBB website and POOF! The Yellow Shippers website disappeared immediately! If it sounds too good to be true, it is!

While searching the Jackson, MS craigslist site, I came across two 2017 Jet skiis and a trailer for $5,000. After searching up the skiis, I knew that it was a very good deal. I contacted the number on craigslist (601) 453-7354 and they told me that " if you want details or pictures about the skis seadoo please contact my mom at [email protected]." After contacting Emily Krier at [email protected], she responded " thank you for contacting me about by 2017 Sea-doo RXT-X 300 with 10 hours and 2017 Sea-Doo RXP-X 300 with 6 hours. The Skis are very clean and used only in fresh water. These skis are truly in excellent and immaculate condition. No hidden damage or defects. I have clear titles under my name, free of any liens or loans and the trailer is included in the sale. The price is firm, $5000 with shipping included. I am selling them because my huspand died a month ago (he suffered from a heart attack) and brings me bad memories, so i want to sell them as soon as possible. My daughter and I decided to sell the house and we moved with my parents in Fargo, ND trying to start a new life. Let me know if you are interested in buying them or if you have any questions. P.S. Attached you can find more pictures! Thank you for your interest! She then attached 20 pictures to the email. As our conversation continued, she informed me that the skis were stored at a shipping/escrow company called yellow shippers in Fargo, ND. When i searched for the company I found YRC shippers in Fargo, ND. I called them and they told me that they did not hold items to be shipped at their locations so that was a red flag. After doing more research, she gave me a website www.yellowshippers.com. The website worked when you typed it in but you could not find it via google search. I found this strange so i called the Fargo Chamber of Commerce and they had no record of Yellow Shippers. I also called the City of Fargo and they searched the secretary of state's business listing where yellow shippers was nowhere to be found. If you google search the address on the yellowshippers website, you will not see the yellow shippers business. Ironically though, you do see a yellow freight truck in the picture.

Found a Polaris Ranger on Craigslist. supposedly moved to Fargo, ND wanted wire transfer for payment. [email protected] Emily Kreir was the contact name.

I have not attempted purchase... I was investigating the company before wire transferring. I called 2 banks in Fargo- neither was familiar with the company. The BBB could not find them either. My bank showed "scam".

I found an ad on Craigslist selling 2 SeaDoos in CA -- https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/boa/d/trailer-included-2017-seadoo/659335981... After texting the phone # 949-662-3289, I was given the name of a "sister" in North Dakota who was actually selling the SeaDoos. After e-mailing the sister -- Emily Krier @ [email protected] back and forth several times, she stated the Seadoos were in North Dakota and could be shipped immediately via Yellow Shippers with a very safe escrow account and I would have 5 days to approve the sale or get my money back -- no shipping charges to pay to return. It all seemed too quick and easy. She then sent me the website and tracking number and "Yellow Shippers" ([email protected]) sent me an e-mail of the Invoice. It really did seem very legitimate. However, I could only get to Yellow Shippers by typing in the website -- not through google search. They did not turn up on the ScamPulse.com site or google maps as a business. There were no independent customer reviews of Yellow Shippers on any of the internet review sites. The Domain Name seemed to have been purchased on May 19th, the same day as the Craigslist ad was posted. When I repeatedly asked to speak with the seller via phone, she insisted that I just call Yellow Shippers. I have not responded back to her since.
