(2) swindler sent victim an "offer letter of intent" (8/1);
(3) swindler conducted follow-up sales pitch (8/1);
(4) swindler provided victim with initial sales contract signed (8/6);
(5) swindler to victim: oops, seller must pay $2568 to register with Mexican gov’t (refundable in 5 days); (8/7)
(6) invoice provided by swindler to sucker (8/7);
(7) victim’s wire transfer to LATI RBG SA DE CV (import/export in Cancun) via SWIFT BMSXMXMMXXX, CLAVE 0146955070272896 (8/8).
PART 2:
(1) Notification by swindler of capital gains tax due before closing can start (Don Edwards) (8/13);
(2) Second invoice for an additional $4632 presented to victim (8/14);
(3) Intimidation, threat of breach remedies by "Thomas Bavor” swindler’s "legal rep" (8/14);
(4) "Negotiations" and concessions, company kicks in 1930, net due $2702 (8/14);
(5) Victim prepared wire transfer instructions, sent to bank.
(6) Suspicions aroused, victim researched web more thoroughly for timeshare scams, found "The Mexico Resale/Bank Wire Transfer Scam," then cancelled the second wire transfer (8/15);
(7) Follow-up phone call from "Thomas Bavor", told him wire transfer had been requested, may take 5-7 days. (8/16).
(8) Follow-up phone call from Thomas Bavor requesting wire transfer status. Told him I was still waiting for receipt. (8/19)
