Claimed to be a Financial Litigator for debt collection. Claimed I owed over $2000 dollars to a cash advance from 12 years ago. Then they dropped it to $1400. I told them I couldn’t pay anything today due to my husband’s cancer. They said they could put me in a hardship program and pay $950 @ $75 a month. They would stop the process of taking me to court. If I went to court, I could face fraud, have a Levi against my banking account or wage garnishment. That there is no statute of limitations.

Calling for Exhusband. We haven’t been married for over 20 years

I haven’t talked to my ex in over 20 years. I have no idea how these people got my phone number. They sad it is about a complaint filed with their office and if I don’t call back they will continue with litigation.

A number that does not belong to me was contacted claiming they were litigating against me but were not able to tell me for what company and the amount. After questioning the people on the phone they became agitated and finally hung up. They were claiming I owed money and they were representing a company but were not able to give me the information about the company or the amount. They claimed they could not access my file. I believe this is illegal practice and hopefully reporting this to someone will make sure people know what is going on.
