Type of a scam Online Purchase
I've recently fallen victim to an online scam with a auto dealership in Alliance, OH which I had found through the carfax.com website. The beautiful truck I had posted last week sharing with everyone what my new truck/baby looks like ended up being a huge scam & was completely unaware of such a thing until I had wired them a $5k deposit.
My auto loan was/is with *** *** ** ** *** *** ***k whatever they go by. After I was approved for my auto loan, a few associates with the Auto Loan Dept supposedly checked to verify the legitimacy of 5th Street Auto Sales which entailed of them checking their website, business license, & dealers resale license. They all said everything was good, one associate went as far as saying numerous times to me that everything looks good, they check out, & they're legit. After sending them my deposit & then not getting the rest of the documents that my bank was needing to cut them a check for the remaining balance, they weren't returning my calls or emails, I contacted the ScamPulse.com in Ohio & the woman I spoke with conducted a background check on them while I was on the phone & found out that they're in fact not a legit dealership, they've operated under many different business names, she then contacted a friend of hers from the Attorney Generals Office & we found out that this group up scammers have been doing this for quite sometime & are currently under investigation with the FBI along with my case now.
** *** *** Bank isn't helping out, I keep talking to different people & just keep going round n round & making no progress. *** Bank is a huge financial institution & were about to release funds to this dealership, the loan officer gave me the utmost assurance that this dealership was legit when in fact they aren't, & as of right now *** Bank is telling me I'm sol with $5k. Where's the accountability & saftey of their clients? Unfortunately seems like there isn't any. *** should be responsible in the meantime, supposedly my case has been turned over to their consumers banker investigation dept, but no one knows anything.
Please please friends be careful, these scammers are out there, I never in a million years would've thought I'd be dealing with something so terrifying like this.
If anyone has any connections with a person's in the legal field or knows of anyone who does probono work please let me know. I need help, have a ton of questions, & would like some legal advice.
I've filed a complaint with the Ohio ScamPulse.com & was asked if I would do an interview with their reporters to spread the word, I reported to the Alliance PD, Tucson PD, & a formal written complaint on the FBI's website. I'm completely besides myself right now.
Too my FB friends, please share, like, & or comment on this post if you would help me, I'm hoping that some big time person from Chase will see this & make things right. Reach out to me, actually take the time to really look into things, & be accountable for encouraging me that everything is legit.
Lastly, please be careful, do your research & ask around before doing anything. Please help me get this post around & pray that *** Bank sees & reads my post.
Thank you all.
