Number has attempted to call my cell phone every week day at random times between Noon to 4:10pm Central Time, with no voicemails left. The caller id on my mobile phone displays the number as scam/risk. Today I decided to inquire the reason for the call as no voicemail is ever left. Upon answering the line I had to say hello 8 times within a 2 minute period and say to the other side that if they are attempting to speak I cannot hear them. Eventually someone on the other side of the line started a greeting with "Hello I'm *cuts out* with DSI Holdings, we are a debt collector looking to inquire more information regarding.." and then cuts out again. I waited again over two minutes again, occasionally mentioning that I am unable to here them and that they cut out midway through spiel. After waiting for a couple of minutes I ended the call and performed a callback, I spoke with someone else and requested to speak to a member of their management, I instead was supposedly transferred to the person who was trying to contact me. When the other person answered, they sounded familiar to the person who originally called me. I recounted my previous phone call and wanted to inquire for the reason to their phone call. The person on the other end said "well we can't leave voicemails because if it is the wrong number we could be giving out sensitive information". Then proceeded to ask if I was First Name/Last Name. I politely told them that they could at least leave that information on a voicemail, but to close the loop I believe I am not the person they are looking for. They proceeded to ask me to verify myself by stating my name. I told them with many bad actors out in the world I did not feel comfortable giving out any information and that I'm not legally required to do as such. The person was like ok well you can disconnect the call anytime you like.
