Selling an air conditioner on Facebook Marketplace. Had a "Julie" message us, very interested to discuss obtaining the AC. Asked to text instead of talk on Messenger. As my sister was texting, constantly and impatiently texted, asking questions in a clumsy manner. Asked for a six-digit verification code to be texted back "to confirm they weren't being scammed/were speaking to a real person." When it didn't work, asked for a family or friend's cell number. That's when we got suspicious, cut off contact, and blocked the number.
