Received a voicemail saying it was the process servers office and they were trying to serve me with court docs/summons but were unsuccessful with the address on file. They left a number for the attorney (Darcy Smith, which does not turn up with a Google search) handling the case and a case number to reference when I call. I called the clerk of court’s office and they have no records of any filings attached to my name or social. I called (out of curiosity) the number provided in the voicemail and the phone was answered with a “case number please” (no law firm name) and the “attorney” asked me to verify my personal info. I said I was not comfortable doing so, and told her the county clerk of court had no cases against me. She then said she already had all my info so how was she scamming me? Very aggressive and intimidating. I asked her again what this case was about, then, and she shouted “I guess you’ll find out when they come serve you. Good luck!” and hung up. Which was odd because the reason for the initial call was supposedly because they needed my current address to serve me.
