The Boise Better Business Bureau told us it is definitely one scam--with fake FB pages--with another scam inside--Our sister is supposedly encouraging others to give their SS info to others to file with the International Monetary Fund to claim a $200,000 payment.
If she actually got this payment--She is being used to encourage others to fill out the forms--and then they will be scammed.
Scam 1 is Fake FB pages. Scam 2 is the International Monetary fund.
We are to report this to the Federal Trade Commission. according to the Boise, Idaho Better Business Bureau.
We encouraged **** to e-mail your 388 friends on FB and say someone has created a fake Nola page--do not friend it. And that they are running a scam saying they are you.
We will tell FTC and try to find out what to do.
Since we have been messaging Fake Nola pages we will tell you quickly what happened--
Nov 28--Nola in Utah supposedly asked us to friend FB page--we were busy and did not check but thought we already had one for you.
Got message on "How are you doing?" So my husband R wrote back about our Thanksgiving. She messaged back about- her life using terms anyone could use.
Nov 29--Nola start sending messages about how she and her friends had filled forms with International Monetary Fund and you got $200,000. We said sounds like a scam and they CAN get money back. Fake Nola messaged back and said legit- got money and so did friends. We said INT was asking too much personal info. We sent info about IMF scam. Nola said trust in God and do this.
It all seemed strange--then we found 2 Nola FB pages--one born in 1959 and one in 1982. We kidded herif she was getting younger.
Then we noticed only 8 friends on your fake FB page and no family photos-only one of you and husband Dennis- Also main pics was each different than the others dressed in Maroon Pink. We could no longer find her real FB page.
We could only get to her real page by going into it through another FB page from the past. .
We did not realize we could be talking to a Fake Nola on one of two Fake pages.
The BB said it was very important that Fake Nola FB pages had been made and someone was running a INT scam in her name.
