I unknowingly fell for a ticket scam. Someone using a fake Facebook profile created a post on the Lake Palestine community page saying they had Mavericks Finals tickets, and to PM them via Messenger. Unfortunately, I did and the entire conversation was thru Messenger. They had a picture of a Ticketmaster playoff e-ticket that I fell for. Said they would simply transfer the tickets to my Ticketmaster account after payment. Subsequently, I was trying to buy 5 tickets and got scammed out of $1,500.00 via Zelle and PayPal. Trying to pursue via local police now and the FBI website. Red flags to look for; scammer waited until the weekend, stressed using Zelle, and also stressed sending PayPal via the Friends and Family route. You have zero protection if you use this option. I didn't know this, but I do now. Lesson learned the hard way and lost $1,500.
