Scammer's address P26 Republican Party National Committee PO Box 96994 Washington , Washington, DC 20090, USA
Type of a scam Phishing
States at the Top: Trump Agenda Survey A Project of the Republican National Committee
It also states in bold letters "An Official Republican Party Document - Do Not Destroy"
It also has a registration number 000050330 (Everyone how receives this letter has the identical registration number posted on the top right hand side of the 'survey')
It asks for large sums of money repeatedly on both the cover letter and the fake Survey, it even states that if the 'survey taker' does not have the money to please send in a minimum of $15.00 to cover processing costs. It says personal checks should be payable to RNC, but it really focuses on obtaining Credit Card Number, the name how it appears on the card, expiration date, security code, and even has the person sign their signature so it can forge this. Further more it reads that due to: "Federal Election Law requires us to report the following information*", and the scammer then asks for Occupation, Employer, a box to check if self-employed, home & business address, Telephone number.
Oh, I looked up the phone number that they list as a contact is a Cell Phone number and not the RNC phone number at all.
I can see this fake survey being extremely successful in stealing money, checking, credit card, and other personal information from people who receive this letter.
If you would like me to mail you the fake cover letter, survey, and the spammers self addressed envelope (which of course requires a stamp) Please let me know and I will be happy to send it to you.
