"A&W" towing- also goes by "Melvins Towing". My car was involved in an motor vehicle accident on 7/16/22. The state trooper who responded called out A&W to move my truck to their lot until progressive, my insurance company could move the vehicle for an adjustment. The owner of the company goes by the name "Tommy" . When calling his business card phone#, just rings and no VM can be left. No one ever picks up or returns calls. Here we are 7/28/22 and my car is still sitting in Tommy's lot. Melvin's was another tow company that was in the same lot as A&W so i called that number in attempt to reach someone to get my SUV out of the lot. Low and Behold "Tommy" picks up Melvin's Towing line. He begins yelling at me that Progressive can come get the truck at anytime, Mean while they haven't been able to reach anyone at the business to do so. Tommy gives Progressive a quote for the bill and also says he wont release it until he gets my verbal to give it to insurance which is what i already did. I call back and give another verbal. At this point Progressives tow vendor has been out to the lot to get the SUV several times, but no one is EVER physically there for him to do so. Fast forward to Monday 7/25/22, and All of the phones numbers associated for this business are "out of service" . Including the number to Melvins Towing. There is also never anyone physically there at the business address. In order to keeps things moving along, progressive has decided to go to A&W tow lot and assess the damages from there so i can get my payout. Unfortunately this will now become a problem for the insurance if they cannot get a hold of this man to retrieve the car. Attached you will see the original business card that was given to us at the scene of the accident by Tommy.
