Dear Sir/Madame:

I disputed fraudulent activity by the fake Malwarebytes antiviral company of charging me $429 sometime ago.

I have subscribed antiviral software Malewarebytes 2017-2023 from authentic Malwarebytes company for my desk computer without any problem (with protection by Malwarebytes for my desk computer up to now), and wished to add it to my current cell phone.

On March 22, 2024, Friday, I couldn’t find Malwarebytes telephone number and happened to find their Malewarebytes website (maybe fake) with a chat feature, I talked to a lady and she connected me to a technician Jerry, and later another technician Ronnie. In the whole process it lasted more than 1-2 hours, they took over and controlled my computer, download their file, asked me my computer, email, previous Malwarebytes informations, including all usernames and computer and email passwords, PIN, my credit card into, and charged me for $429, (including: 1 Device MS Windows 11 OS services pack $199, Technical charge $59, Firewalll evergreen $139, Tax $32, Total $429), which I did not understand, … This whole process was carried over several sessions, with rest period in between, during that interim I should not use my computer and told me to contact next Monday. That very night, when I talked to my son-in-law, he said it must be a fraudulent activity, I should immediately stopped my contact with them. Apparently, I was naïve enough to provide answers to their should-not ask questions. In the following days, I disregarded all their calls and was afraid to suffer more damages. I filled out dispute form on my Citibank Master card on-line banking web site and got credit back. Later, on 4/11/2024 I found Citibank saying they have received the merchant’s letter and reversed the dispute and charged me again. I didn’t see the merchant’s letter and Citibank dispute department saying something that I have signed the agreement…. This argument is unreasonable, if I didn’t sign the agreement, they would not be able to charge me and no such dispute would happen; It was later (certainly after so called signing agreement) I was warned of the fraudulent activity that I raised the dispute. Since I stopped to contact them, nothing antiviral software was installed nor any antiviral service have I received for my cellular phone. It is absolutely a well-organized and designed highly suspicious fraudulent scammer, cheating me with little computer fraudulent knowledge. Citibank suggested that I complain to you ScamPulse.com to investigate and recover my loss. I am compelled to dispute that this company have stolen my personal and confidential information, and might have already intruded my computer and emails, my bank account and done something bad. I plead that you would help me to investigate and stop their scamming activities and they should immediately return the money $429 to me. I am 96 and regret not being alert enough to provide them with my highly confidential information and suffer so much financially and mentally.

I am very thankful for your diligence and effort in looking into this matter, let not evil prevail. Thank you again!
