Fake Check/Money Order for Job Offer

This happened to me back in 2018. Same exact thing, just different names. Hope this is getting taken care of. I was scammed by "Dr." Brenda Patrida and Rhonda Patrida who was "HR".

I was contacted by a person of the name Mrs. Alicia Davis via text (602-562-1388) stating she is from the company Acadia Healthcare and that my details have been reviewed by the recruiting dept and I was scheduled for an interview. I then asked what position was this for because I didn't remember applying but I also have been applying to hundreds of places online so it could have been one that I forgot about. The person replied that it was for either front desk, data entry clerk, customer service rep, medical secretary or accounting payroll clerk and that they are in immediate refill and that training is available. I was then told to download the app called Telegram and to add Dr. Courtney Patrida as contact and message her. I download and start messaging this Dr. Courtney Patrida person and long story short I got the job and was sent a letter of approval which all seemed legit---until I was told that they will be mailing me a check and once I recieve this check to deposit it to my account and then they will give me the vendor's name to purchase the work equipment. That part threw me off so I decided to do some research on my own, and come to find out this person is a scammer and others have been scammed too. Luckily for me I didn't give out my ssn, bank account info. The only info they had of me is my address and name. I have the check they sent me of $2900.00 from ROC Construction Services but I didn't deposit it due to I knew it was a scam so I will be ripping the check up.
