Scammer asked me to interview for a remote position. First red flag was that the entire interview was conducted over skype text, although I had seen that it was normal in some companies. Afterwards I completed an online assessment and had been sent an acceptance email that looked legitimate. All names used in emails were from actual employees from the company helping to strengthen the scam. At one point they asked me to deposit a check so I can buy new equipment, and that's when I knew it was a typical check scam.
