Home Improvement Contractor Scam
Although they insisted their work is guaranteed for five years, there has been no response to my requests for them to return to apply another coat. I’m SO disappointed and out of a few thousand dollars. Now I’m wondering if the brogue was real or fake. Photos show driveway sections AFTER treatment.
COMMENTS FROM NEIGHBORS: These guys have been in Woodbine over the past years. I have not used them. Something was just off. Told me they could do my entire driveway for $15K. I said no thanks. The next day they came back and said they could do it for $8K. I told them No. I don’t need superficial coating at that price.
I met these guys when I was emptying a sick friend’s apartment. They wanted everything for next to nothing. They kept coming back to see what I had for sale. They said they were father and son.
Interesting they are still in the area.
They are very well known as scammers in the area.
It sounds like the Irish travelers are back. They hit our neighborhood last two years. Very substandard job and most of the neighbors who did hire them were quite unhapp
Travelers are always staying at my work. They have not moved on since there are so many homes and hat still fall prey to their substandard practices.
Next time, just tell them to kiss your blarney stone! In the past, those "Irish Charmers" have been in my neighborhood too.
I am so thankful that you posted this! I have had them stop by my place a couple of times. They seemed like really nice folks. Offered to completely dig out and replace my driveway for a decent price. But I didn’t have the money regardless. They were complimenting me on my very Irish name. I had considered reaching out to them in the future, now I know better! Thank you!
I never do business with door to door knockers, 100% negative experiences so I quit even talking to them.
They come through my neighborhood from time to time. One of them got really angry with me when I asked for references and told him I needed to do some research in to his company before I could discuss having any work done. He yelled in my face that he was insulted that didn’t believe he was an honest man. ? In truth I had no intention of using him, I just wanted to gauge his reaction.
I think these are probably the same people with Irish accent that did a very sloppy job paving our driveway. They claim their work is guaranteed, but they refuse to honor any guarantee. They are constantly changing their company name to break off contact with unsatisfied customers and to try to hide their bad reputation.
