Caller phoned our landline ( call display showed 780 369 and I think it was 8775 ) on a Friday morning and asked for me. When told I was not home, he identified himself as Peter and proceeded to act like he knew me, mentioned some farm businesses ( Co-op, etc ) and wanted my cell number. Because of the businesses mentioned, he was given my cell number. He then tried to call my cell twice but I missed both calls. He did not leave a voicemail. The call log shows 780 256 6548. On Saturday morning, there was another call to the landline asking for me. This time it was from 780 256 6654. It was a different guy and when told that I wasn't home, he made a smart remark and hung up. When I got home, I tried a google search and was able to determine that the 369 number is a telus landline in Widewater alberta and the 256 numbers are roger communication wireless numbers in Slave Lake. I tried to phone all three numbers. None of them are active.

On Monday morning, there was a call to my cell from 780 256 6548. When I answered, the caller immediately said my first name. I replied "speaking". He then proceeded to mention that he was Peter from Ace Industrial Supply and asked if I was familiar with their farm blue book. When I said "no", he proceeded to tell me that they have a warehouse in Didsbury that they are in the process of shutting down and the boss wanted to offer me a deal on a couple of things and started into his spiel. by saying the words " can you hear me okay? ". I told him that I wasn't interested in his scam and hung up. I checked the landline at home and Ace Industrial Supply showed on the call display. When I tried to use the call back feature on the phone, it won't dial.
