On June 4th, 2021 I was searching for an affordable car rental company to rent a vehicle. I searched on Google and came across an ad for "ACE Car Rental". I clicked on the ad and seen the number to call 1-888-802-0961. I clicked on the number and my android phone automatically called out to the number. The line was answered by a heavily, Indian accented man allegedly named "Phillip Foster". He began taking my information and setting me up to rent a vehicle. He told me that there was an issue with their credit card processing system and that I had to use a temporary American Express card that I could purchase from Wal-Mart or a local pharmacy like Walgreens. He told me that the total was $700 and that I would need to purchase 2 cards to make the payment. When things did not seem to appear as legit I began asking questions and called American Express to find out who had placed a charge to the card and I learned it was a company named LovelySkin and the charge was made to lovelyskin.com. This company was able to charge $209.10 to my card under thr guise of being a rental car company and gave me a fake confirmation number.
