I received an email stating that i am to resolve a debt for a lender that i am currently behind on payments with, it was basically offer in compromise to resolve my debt out of court I just wanted to verify and make sure this is legitamite company. They have asked me when i begin making payments next friday on June 10 to purchase a vanilla prepaid gift card and send them card information this does not sound like a professional way of making payments to a debt collections agency. An individual also contacted me by telephone when i asked him who the creditor was they were representing after the fourth time i asked him he finally give me one of the lenders i had obtained loan from but i had asked this in my email reply to them which one of the lenders they were representing and did disclose that info. So im thinking it took them a moment as they pulled up their emails to give me this information but there are red flags all over this I just wanted to verify that this legitamite company or if im being scammed
