I saw a job ad on ZipRecruiter and responded that I was interested in the position. The job add I noticed closed, but 'someone' named Cindy Bergler emailed me telling me that I got the job and that she would have HR department send me a contract to sign accepting the job offer. Also, she said she would send me a check to purchase 'work station' equipment for the job to order on my own. She had me sign this contract and email it back - never a phone call. Then asking for my cell # and home address which I stupidly gave along with my signature signed to accept the job. 'She' then texted me and asked if my bank did daily deposits and she sent me a copy of her check for me to deposit into my account - red flag. I went to my bank and the vice president saw that the check was fraudulent by the signature. He tried to telephone the numbers and tracked it to Los Angeles not MN.
