I received a letter in the mail claiming to be a collection notice from I.C.Systems Inc., PO Box 64378, St. Paul, MN 55164-0378. They showed the call back number as 833-250-2055 which I tried to call back to tell them I did not owe any such bill from a long time ago. They were offering me the opportunity to settle with them for $205, when they claimed I owed $410.31, if I reached out to them right away to get this offer. My other option rather than a phone call was to mail them a lot of personal information and I became very skeptical since I knew there was nothing like this outstanding at any time and my credit report did not show any such transaction outstanding. I decided to contact the ScamPulse.com to see if the business was legitimate and it is a real business name in St. Paul but the phone number to the real business is different and they also show this statement on their profile: "calling 1-800-279-7951 to speak with a consumer affairs representative" where you can prove that you do not have any unpaid debt with them. The phone number 833-250-2055 has scam-related history. Beware of a debt collector if you are unsure, check for the real business phone number and verify you owe monies to them. Do not believe everything that comes in the mail, an email, a phone call. Research it before thinking you owe something that you don't! The scammers just want you to give them financial details they can used for their own purposes and any money you send will go directly into their pockets, not towards any bill that you did not remember in the first place. They can be very convincing and become very forward when speaking with them.
