I was on indeed one day and came across a recommendation for a job being a training coordinator for ITech Digital remotely. I applied and recieved a message from "the company" saying to email Brian Knoderer at [email protected], so I did on Friday June 10th, 2022. I received an email back saying to visit the website (itechdigital. com) to make sure this is what I was looking for. I let them know it was and they had me fill out some questions that they were going to later forward to their hiring board and would give me an answer. I recieved an email saying because of my experience and my skills they wanted to bring me on as their training coordinator. I accepted and they sent me a fake employee offer letter and they were going to provide all of the equipment but they had to send me a starter check to get everything that I was going to then order from their acquired vendor. They sent me a check via email and I contacted my bank to see if it was real. On June 15th I spoke with a representative from my bank who confirmed it was real and told me to do the mobile deposit of the check, so I did. I tried to call and email them all day today, June 16th, to get more information and speak with them again. When I called the number it said it was invalid, so I did the next best thing and looked up Brian Knoderer on LinkedIn to message him. I did send him a message and he informed me today, June 16th, that he is aware of a scam that has been going around using his name and ITech Digital's name.

The job posting was on Indeed and other job search sites and they said multiple people have applied. My bank did catch it and stopped it before anything bad happened. I did reach out to my bank again today, June 16th, and it was confirmed that it was a scam.

They do have my name, phone number, address, and a picture of my drivers liscense.
