Scam alert

I got a text message that I was approved for a interview, they made me download hangouts and contact the hiring manager Kimberly McFarland. I being desperate to work since I have a baby and working from home sounded great, trusted this company, thinking they were legit and got scammed. I know there’s companies that are truly trustworthy but THIS ONE ISNT ONE OF THEM. I was given a check for vendors they had me withdraw 5500 and deposit it into a bank account that seemed legit and now I’m in debt and the check was a fraud. :( I wish I hadn’t been this stupid to fall for it, but I’m posting this so other can be warned and not fall for this awful scam that seems to be targeting people looking for work during this tough time with Covid. I’m a total mess I cannot afford to pay my debt since I’m unemployed, now I got to really hope for the best and pray I find a flexible job that will work with being a new mom, to pay off this awful debt the scammers put me through. Please be careful.

I also would like to add that on the actual Matt Lueck Construction page he the owner confirmed he hasn’t hired anyone or isn’t hiring at all, so ALL OF THIS work from home is bs, do not fall for it. I cannot believe I fell for it! I wish I could’ve seen this prior to the incident, I wish I would’ve seen all the red flags that were surrounding me, but I was so naive, I was excited to be working again! All I wanted was to provide for my son, and now I have to pay the amount that the scammer had me take out. I HAVE TO FIND A WAY. I WAS JUST TRYING TO PROVIDE FOR ME AND MY SON, AND NOW THANKS TO KIMBERLY MCFARLAND OR WHOEVER THIS SCAMMER IS I HAVE TO DIG EXTRA HARD TO MAKE ENDS MEET AND PAY FOR THIS. I truly don’t deserve this and neither does any other victim. People like this are the worst human beings ever. I’m sure they use different names. Please don’t fall for it. I’m hoping to save you a headache, tears, and exhaustion from this bs. They may contact people with their names & @mattlueckconstruction.com don’t answer them no matter how desperately you’re looking for a job, don’t be like me. PLEASE BECAREFUL OF THIS SCAM.

I was sent a job offer, got interviewed through Google hangouts, I instantly got hired and they sounded pretty legit, was told about the work equipment I would need, then they suddenly sent a check of 6,900.54 told me to deposit it into my bank account, and take out 5,500 to deposit it into a vendors account through chase.. next thing I know My bank calls me and tells me that the check was counterfeit and that I had most likely gotten scammed, filed a police report, and now I’m in debt with the bank. The scammer told me they wrote the wrong routing number and that they would send one right away to pay my debt. I cannot believe I fell for it in the first hand and now I’m paying the consequences of these awful scammers. I’m just a new mother of a baby trying to find a flexible job during this tough time with Covid and I suddenly get scammed. It’s awful and sad. Please do not go through if any jobs offer you checks to deposit.

I got an email after applying on indeed they offered me a job and told me I scored an 8.5 out of 10. When they told me the pay it seamed unreal. They said they will mail out a check to buy all my equipment from a vendor they prefer. Working from home and we’ll pay was suspicious to me. Then they provided a tracking # and when I called fedex to know where my package was they told me they reported the package af fraud. They made me download an app called hangouts and they hacked my acc I’m locked out and I’m scared they got personal information from the app I’m locked out and can’t get in. Pamela is the “hiring” person. Then somehow the email with the instructions disappeared very suspicious so I googled the company’s name and came across a couple of people that went through the same as me. I trusted indeed as a legit job. I reported the job posting and hope this helps someone to not be taken advantage of. Stay away from job posting such as this one.

I dealt with the same situation and was actually scammed. Now I’m in debt for being so dumb and believing this was a legit job. Now I got a message saying they’re not scamming people at all.
